Who is Erica and what am I up to?

Hey, that’s me, I’m Erica!

I didn’t expect or plan for this journey, I never even dreamt about it!

Life can change so quickly and I’ve found myself starting from scratch in my forties!

I’m the visionary and content creator behind this blog. Embarking on this journey in 2023 after losing my small farm in Scotland and everything else with it. I transitioned from owning and living in a large country house to sleeping rough with my young daughter and our dogs before we were gifted out little home on wheels. This life-changing experience eventually led me to discover and fully embrace the caravan lifestyle, which I now share as full-time digital storyteller.

Before all of this, I was a one woman farmer for 20 years working my way from teenage mum ironically, starting out in a small caravan, until eventually realising my dream and buying my own small farm in 2014 with my now ex partner. Through a series of unfortunate events in 2023 it all went horribly, horribly wrong and I lost it all. This unexpected chapter of my life has - well, frankly kicked the shit out of me! Going from homeless, lost, beaten, broken with my face firmly planted in the dirt I never thought I’d be able to get up and start again at this stage of life. But, after just over a year I’m standing with my feet now firmly planted on the ground, my chin up and ready to rebuild a beautiful life.

My Guiding Mission

My mission comes deep from my heart , sharing my story authentically, frankly and with no holes barred I’m here to inspire anyone going through shit in life especially those that find themselves starting over in midlife and encourage them to keep going... It may not feel like it at the time but it is worth it! Through my content, I share my experiences and provide real value to my readers.

Building an Engaging Community

So, this alternate way of living has now become my way of life, it took me a while after losing everything to see a way forward from this but now I have goals, a plan and a personal mission. This isn’t forever but it serves me well for now.
